Membership & volunteering
One form covers membership, volunteering and the concession schedule. Everything lands in the board's inbox and on the volunteer list at the same time.

Volunteer roles
Describe the shift, the hours and the training. A parent who knows exactly what they are agreeing to says yes far more often.
Grill, register or restock during a home event. Training takes ten minutes and there is always a veteran on shift with you.
Take admission and hand out programs at the entrance. The easiest first shift for a new booster family.
Coordinate or contribute a pre-game meal. Sign up to cook, to buy, or just to carry things in.
Help run the car wash, the dinner or the raffle. A handful of hours a few times a season.
Take the sponsorship packet to two or three businesses you already do business with. That is the whole job.
Shoot a few photos at a game and send them in. Those pictures fill this website and the season program.
Who runs the club
Four cards, real names and real addresses. A booster club with visible people raises more than one that hides behind a form.
Meetings
Publish the dates and the location. Half of new volunteers show up because they finally knew when and where.
Meetings are open to every parent, guardian and community member. Bring a friend who has been meaning to get involved.
Questions
Answer the five questions your board hears at every game. Fewer emails for you, fewer reasons to hesitate for them.
No. Answer this one first, because most people assume the opposite. Grandparents, alumni, staff and neighbors are all welcome as members and as volunteers.
State the amount — $00 per family, per year — and list exactly what it pays for. Say clearly whether dues are separate from team fees paid to the school.
If your club is a 501(c)(3), say so here along with your EIN and how receipts are sent. If it is not, say that too. Donors respect a straight answer.
Explain how to swap or cancel a shift and who to text. Making this easy is why people sign up for the second shift after the first one.
Point to the budget, the treasurer's report or the meeting minutes. A booster club that publishes its numbers raises more than one that does not.
